Unit of Measure (UoM)

Units of Measure define how products are quantified and priced.

Common UoMs

• Unit: Individual pieces
• kg: Kilograms
• m: Meters
• Box: Package/box
• Dozen: 12 pieces
• Pallet: Large quantity

UoM in Odoo

Odoo tracks UoMs in two contexts:

Sale UoM

How the product is sold (e.g., "Unit")

Purchase UoM

How the product is purchased (e.g., "Box of 24")

Package Configuration

If you buy in packages but want to track pieces:

Example: Buy boxes of 24, sell individual pieces

Configuration:

• Purchase UoM: Box
• Sale UoM: Unit
• Package Quantity: 24

Price conversion:

• Supplier price: €24/box
• Odoo price: €1/piece
• Min quantity: 24 pieces (1 box)

Syncing UoMs

Before importing:

1. Sync Odoo references (Dashboard → Odoo → Sync References)
2. This imports all UoMs from your Odoo database

Then you can map to the correct UoMs.
