Linking to Odoo Partner

Linking a supplier to an Odoo partner enables automatic supplier info creation in Odoo.

What is an Odoo Partner?

In Odoo, partners (model: res.partner) represent:

• Customers
• Suppliers
• Contacts

When you link a Pricelist Heaven supplier to an Odoo partner, product sync will create supplier info (product.supplierinfo) records.

Why Link to Odoo Partner?

Automatic Supplier Info

When syncing products, Pricelist Heaven creates:

• Product record (product.product)
• Supplier info (product.supplierinfo) linking product to supplier

Accurate Purchase Orders

Odoo can generate purchase orders with correct:

• Supplier name
• Supplier product code
• Lead time
• Minimum order quantity

Price History

Track historical prices from this supplier in Odoo.

Finding the Odoo Partner ID

Method 1: From Odoo URL

1. Open Odoo
2. Go to Purchases → Suppliers
3. Click on the supplier
4. Check the URL:

   https://your-odoo.com/web#id=123&model=res.partner&...
   

   The Partner ID is 123

Method 2: Enable Developer Mode

1. Go to Settings → Activate developer mode
2. Go to Purchases → Suppliers
3. Open the supplier
4. Check the top-right (you'll see "Partner: 123")

Linking in Pricelist Heaven

1. Edit the supplier profile
2. Enable "Link to Odoo Partner"
3. Enter the Partner ID
4. Verify the partner name displays correctly
5. Save

What If Partner Doesn't Exist?

If the supplier doesn't exist in Odoo yet:

1. Create the partner in Odoo first
2. Set "Supplier" checkbox
3. Note the Partner ID
4. Link in Pricelist Heaven

Or:

Use Pricelist Heaven without linking. Products will be created but without supplier info.

Troubleshooting

"Partner not found"

• Verify the ID is correct
• Ensure the partner exists in your Odoo database
• Check that Odoo connection is working

"Access denied"

• Ensure your Odoo user can read partners
• Check that the partner is not archived
