Discount Group Configuration

Some suppliers use discount groups (like "A", "B", "C") instead of providing final prices.

What Are Discount Groups?

Discount groups are codes that represent discount percentages:

  • Group "A" = 10% discount
  • Group "B" = 5% discount
  • Group "C" = 0% discount

The supplier's file contains the base price and a discount group code.

Configuring Discount Groups

  1. Edit the supplier
  2. Scroll to "Discount Configuration"
  3. Enable "Uses Discount Groups"
  4. Add mappings:
Discount CodePercentage
A10
B5
C0
  1. Save

How It Works During Import

When you import a pricelist:

  1. Column Mapping: Map the discount group column to "Discount Group" field
  2. Price Calculation: Pricelist Heaven applies the discount:
    Final Price = Base Price × (1 - Discount%)

  3. Result: Products show both base and discounted prices

Example

Supplier file:

Product,Base Price,Discount Group
Widget A,100.00,A
Widget B,50.00,B
Widget C,25.00,C

With discount mappings (A=10%, B=5%, C=0%):

  • Widget A: €100 → €90 (10% off)
  • Widget B: €50 → €47.50 (5% off)
  • Widget C: €25 → €25 (0% off)

Fixed Supplier Discount

If ALL products get the same discount:

  1. Enable "Uses Fixed Discount"
  2. Enter the percentage (e.g., 10)

This applies to all products from this supplier, regardless of discount group.

Combining Discounts

You cannot combine:

  • Fixed discount + Discount groups

Choose one method per supplier.
